Does homework work? Is homework a good thing or can it actually do harm?
Most schools insist that pupils do homework.
But at primary school level there is little evidence of benefit.
While homework in secondaries does seem to boost achievement, there are wide variations between schools.
So what should schools do? How should they sift through competing claims? What kind of homework works best and how much of it should we set (if we should)?
In this latest master class on homework, Bill Lucas looks at the evidence. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of what really matters and how they can develop policy and practices to ensure that home learning really benefits pupils.
Each individual master class is chargeable at £25 per person
