Come and join Professor Bill Lucas at his third Master Class this year

November 21st 2019 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

This master class will be themed around creativity in schools.

Creativity is increasingly recognised by employers, researchers and educationalists as a core capability to be cultivated in schools. But how best do we do this when schools are organised around subject disciplines?

Bill Lucas, co-chair of the new PISA 2021 Test of Creative Thinking and an authority on creativity, will draw on the recent research published by the OECD into Fostering Students' Creativity - http://www.oecd.org/education/fostering-students-creativity-and-critical-thinking-62212c37-en.htm - and the research he and his colleague Dr Ellen Spencer have been doing over the last 6 years to outline:

  • what creativity is in schools,
  • why it matters,
  • how it can be integrated into every aspect of school life, and
  • how it can be assessed. The session will offer all those attending practical strategies that they can use both at Primary and at Secondary levels.

This master class is included in our Master Class Training Programme which is charged at £90 a year and includes 4 classes at The University of Winchester. Please contact eednet@winchester.ac.uk if you would like to join.

Individual master class is chargeable at £25 per person
