What is Action Research?

29 Jul 2014 3:13 PM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

Action Research is carried out in the classroom, usually over the period of a term. Posing the question, “If I do x, will y happen?” the teacher will apply a different strategy or intervention to a particular challenge or situation, and observe the results.

Action Research encourages teachers to take small steps as part of their regular practice to develop desirable learning dispositions.
